  • A Warm Welcome to Raheny: Heritage, Community and Everyday Connection

This site goes back to before many of the current web and social media tools – to 1999 – and after perhaps a year “under a bushel” is back. When time allows, it will be expanded and updated, and meantime, hopefully it helps, as it has been of interest for over a million visitors over that more than a quarter-century.

    Discover Raheny

Raheny is a historic village suburb on Dublin’s northside, shaped by centuries of local life and a strong sense of neighbourliness. Whether you have lived here for years, are newly arrived, or are visiting for the day, there is always more to discover in the streets, green spaces and shared stories of our community.

    A Place With Deep Roots

With roots reaching back to the 500s and the Iron Age, Raheny’s heritage is woven into the character of the area. Its village atmosphere, historic landmarks and connection to the coast offer a distinctive sense of place within Dublin.

Raheny’s story is still being written by the people who care for it, share it and take part in local life.

    Community Starts With Participation

A thriving neighbourhood depends on everyday connections. Local groups, events, volunteering and conversations between neighbours all help make Raheny welcoming, informed and resilient.
